Private planning information

Your account can hold profile information, travel companions, groups, vehicles, preferences, saved places and trips. Accessibility and pet preferences may also be provided for planning. These details are not automatically copied to your public contributor profile.

What other travelers can see

Your public profile and published contributions are separate from private account settings. Review the public display name, photo, cover, location, travel interests, countries and Travel Buddy status you choose to share.

Account storage and uploads

Signed-in features save account records and uploaded images on the service. Browser storage is also used for some working state and existing drafts. Shared or public information may be visible to other users according to the feature’s visibility settings.

Community activity

Community features can record contributions, follows, visits, messages, notifications and profile or content views. Private messages and visit notes should not be treated as public contributions.

Export and account controls

Open your account’s Privacy & Data page to review the available export and reset controls. Resetting profile settings is not the same as deleting an account or all its records.

Notifications

Choose available notification preferences in your account. Delivery depends on which channels are enabled for the service.
